16-year-old taken to hospital for evaluation
ROCKLAND, Mass. —A teenage was injured after stepping on a needle while fishing at a Rockland pond on Sunday.
The 16-year-old boy was fishing on an island at Reed Pond on Sunday when he stepped on a needle, according to fire officials.
The boy was taken to the hospital by his mother to be evaluated.
Rockland firefighters searched the surrounding area and found eight more needles.
