ROCKLAND —
Firefighters doused a fire that started in a gas-powered snowblower and spewed smoke throughout a two-story house on Union Street.
The fire was reported at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, Fire Lt. John Sammon said. The people living in the house got out safely when fire alarms sounded.
Sammon said it’s unclear how the machine caught fire. It was stored in an unfinished basement at 654 Union St.
